Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, who was born August 19, 1965 was an American actress. She also works as an actor and producer. She is most famous for her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and she also won a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. The seventh season of the series ended on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe award in 1995 for her role on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald, a speech and family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV who was a venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian who was with English heritage. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish, and she has claimed that she attends at Passover seders.
