Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC, born March 4 1954 is an actress from Canada. O'Hara has been awarded numerous prizes which include a Genie Award and a Golden Globe Award. O'Hara also received two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Canadian Screen Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2018, O'Hara was appointed to the rank of an Officer of Canada. She was also presented with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Medal in 2020. O'Hara first made her appearance as an actress in 1974 when she was in The Second City, an improv comedy group in Toronto. Dan Aykroyd and John Candy were also part of her main cast in the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara as well as Candy began work on Second City Television's sketch comedy show (1976-1984). O'Hara won a Primetime Emmy Award in 1981 for Outstanding Writing for Variety Series. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the newly formed Second City artistic advisory board headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura, Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
